YIN YOGA

In this 50 hour Yin Yoga training you will learn all the basics about Yin Yoga. You will be able to go deeper into your own practice, and you will be able to safly guide others through nourishing, quiet Yin Yoga classes.

THE MAIN THEMES AND HOW WE WORK

Yin Yoga postures, energy, meridians, philosophy, the structure of yoga classes and everything else that goes into it for you to find security in your own practice, and in your role as a yoga teacher is carefully reviewed here. You will learn through theoretical classes and by practicing both yoga and how to take on the role of a yoga teacher through teaching.

Learning by doing, this is how we will dive into all the different poses. This means that we focus less on learning the positions theoretically, here you learn by practicing the asanas and getting to know them through your own body, and also by learning and observing the bodies of everyone in your training group. The same way we keep on learning as yoga teacher, watching our students in every class.

The philosophy you learn comes from Chinese Daoism. Here you learn useful concepts that you can use in your own everyday life.

Maria is always focused on the Simple Way. Never searching for more, when what we have is enough. You will learn the basics, the simple Yin Yoga poses. Not too many, but all the poses we need to keep the body supple and healthy, with the Qi, the life force flowing freely.

FINISHING WORK
You will now create a plan and program for five yoga classes that you teach to a small or larger group. One of the classes, lasting 30 minutes, will be filmed to show who you are as a yoga teacher, this will be submitted for review and you will receive thorough,
constructive feedback.


MEET YOUR TEACHER

Hello there, I am Maria Djoenne. I come from Norway, where I have been a full time yoga teacher since 2012. I am trained in Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Restorative and Yin Yoga. With among others Biff Mithoefer and Aki Omori.

For many years, since I had a burnout, I have focused both my practice and my teachings around the simple, slow, nourishing ways of movement. Through observations, testing and trying I have developed my own style, especially when it comes to the way I work with dynamic Yoga. With a deep respect for the body and even more important, the energetics of the body I aim to take care of the human being as a whole. I am fascinated by the human body, how it is affected by the way we move, think, feel, eat, how we treat others and the most important how we treat ourselves.

Seeing that silence and a slow pace often are missing factors in the ways of modern living, I have dedicated my work to bring inspiration to the world on how we can incorporate more silence and quiet time into our everyday lives. These are a few of the keys to better health and a happier life. 

As a teacher I aim to stay humble, knowing I can never truly master this wonderful thing called life. There is always more to learn, and new truths to discover. This is what makes life so wonderful.

 

I have taught many yoga classes, for eight years I managed my own yoga studio, since 2014 I have hosted retreats in Norway, France, Morocco and Spain, since 2017 I have run my Yoga Teacher Trainings where I have educated a couple of hundred Yoga teachers.
